| A
TRANCE-CULTURAL EFFECTIVE APPROACH TO THE ELEMENTS OF
REALITY |
|
| Introduction |
| What are the basic elements of
reality? |
| Can we divide our reality into
smaller elements? |
| Can we use these elements in
order to analyze the world around us and interact
effectively? |
|
| For centuries mankind has had
these kinds of questions, because finding answers would
indeed be very useful... |
|
| As in physics where the
understanding of basic forces permits the building of
anything and so an engineer can't ignore them, the same goes
for psychological sciences. |
|
| Understanding basic elements can
open up pathways to better living, effective therapy,
effective communication and relationships. |
|
|
| The use of the
Trance-cultural model |
|
| TRANCE-CULTURAL is a new model.
In this research, on how different cultures have studied the
so-called "elements", we find an interesting model
on how effective trance-cultural work can be done. |
|
| Effective Trance-Cultural work is
a way of creating new techniques. |
|
| The expert in trance-cultural
techniques is very effective, because he relies on many
sources at the same time. |
|
| People, as Cultures, are
different from one another: understanding cultural models
means understanding different people in an easier way. |
|
| An effective trance-cultural
methodology puts together two different models, finding
similarities and a basis for evolution. |
|
| Using effective Trance-cultural
methodology we can CREATE new techniques. |
|
| We can call this process
"SYNERGY Creation". |
|
| For such a process to take place,
we don't have to have goals. We will just get what is
created from merging. |
|
| If we have some ink, we have
nothing; if we have some paper, we have nothing. But if we
have some ink and a piece of paper, then, we can have words,
or a draft. |
|
| The sum of different elements is
many more times the value of the individual parts. |
|
|
| Model 1 for a
new trance-cultural synergy: The western elements |
|
| Anciently used metaphors to
describe realities. In western ancient philosophy,
classically we have 4 elements: Fire, Air, Water and Earth. |
|
| Fire and Water are said to be the
"originators" of Air, and Earth is the direction
on which these elements affect their impact. |
|
| Indians put a fifth element
ETHER, symbolizing the consciousness and THE NON SUBSTANCE
ORIGINATOR OF ALL! |
|
|
| ACTUALITY OF
ANCIENT IDEAS METAPHORS AND PSYCHOLOGY |
|
| What is important is to
understand that these elements are just METAPHORS for
psychological realities. |
|
| The ancients used elements in the
same way actual psychologists use "inner child" or
"Parts". |
|
| When we use "inner
child" we don't want to say that a person wants a
little child to be born! |
|
| It is METAPHORICAL language. |
|
| Maybe in the future, in the year
3000, people will believe that in the year 2000
psychologists believed that people were in different
physical pieces! |
|
| One of the first modern
researcher to have understood this was Carl Gustav Jung, who
said that alchemy was nothing else than psychology! |
|
| Through the use of elements, as
for modern psychologists, the ancients where able to relieve
pain, solve psychological problems etc. |
|
|
|
| Model 2 for a
trance-cultural synergy: NLP & NLP3 |
|
| A new modern technique uses a
similar concept to solve problems. We can link the idea of
elements to the modern sensory channel of NLP
(neuro-linguistic programming). NLP has rediscovered the
power of elements. Because ancient metaphors were no better
with the actual world, it used the idea of "sensory
channels". Practically NLP says that we use, for
representing ideas in our mind, our sensory channels, and
everything happening in our mind can be represented through
sensory channels. |
|
| >From a neurological point of
view, the main difficulty is the right definition of what a
"sense" is, because we have more than just 5
senses in our body! |
|
| Beyond 5 original senses, we have
the sense of balance, the sense of movement etc... |
|
| Even the 5 original senses can be
split: we have different receptors for cold and warm and for
hurting. |
|
|
| SYNERGY |
|
| The Trance-Cultural model offers
the possibility of putting two systems together. |
|
| For example, NLP is sometimes
critized for the ambiguity behind the concept of sensory
channels. From a trance-cultural point of view, maybe the
neurology of NLP must be completed, but we believe in the
results it can bring because of the similarity with another
tradition. These two traditions are separated, but both
arrived at the same practical results and techniques. |
|
| The Trance-Cultural model will
expand these models in order to find new applications. |
|
| We believe synergy will bring us
to a new level of reality. |
|
| PRACTICAL EXAMPLES OF NEW
TECHNIQUES |
| Merging the two systems together
we can multiply our way of operating: |
| - Eliminate past negative
emotions |
| - Go into the past and rebalance
our sensory channels |
|
|
| Sensory Channel
Balance |
|
| In NLP, it is said that lack of a
sensorial channel can lead to some problems. We can use a
technique linked with an element (like a sound technique) to
make this sensorial channel more active in the person. While
you are in a mental position, see beneath you the scene you
want to change and send a sound linked to the element you
think more useful to change the situation. After, go on an
emotional level through the event (always accompanying
yourself with the sound) and come back to the present. |
|
| Often this mixed technique will
erase unwanted memories. |
|
| What is even more powerful is
that you can use this technique with IMPREGNATION concepts.
It means you could charge something with the needed element. |
|
| Fascination and use of elements. |
| If we understand which elements
are lacking in a person we can fascinate (attract) this
person with these elements. |
| These elements will put the
person into a trance. This is also the basis of
multi-sensorial hypnosis. |
|
|
| Model 3 for a
new trance-cultural synergy: The Chinese Elements |
|
| >From western elements, in our
trance-cultural quest, we can also observe Eastern Elements. |
|
|
| THE SECRETS OF
THE ELEMENTS |
|
| Elements in China, Alchemy and
"Kinaesthetic" in NLP In NLP there is a wide use
of the concept "Kinaesthetic" We find that the
concept of elements developed by Chinese medicine can be
very useful in finding more specificity to what in NLP is
called "kinaesthetic" |
|
| THE CHINESE
THEORY |
|
| Five elements theory |
| 1 - Wood: corresponds to spleen
and to the following emotions = negative: rage / positive:
dynamicness |
| 2 - Fire: corresponds to heart
and to the following emotions = negative: cruelty /
positive: love |
| 3 - Earth: corresponds to liver
and to the following emotions = negative: unbalance /
positive: balance |
| 4 - Metal: corresponds to the
lungs and to the following emotions = negative: depression /
positive : courage-expression |
| 5 - Water: corresponds to the
kidneys and to the following emotions = negative: anxiety /
positive : self esteem |
|
|
| With this scheme, we can give a
new look to the idea of "kinaesthetic feelings"
and find new ways of healing in NLP. This is the path of
NLP3. |
|
|
| SUBMODALITIES
AND ELEMENTS - |
|
| PATTERN ENHANCED WITH EASTERN
ELEMENTS |
|
| We can go further in our
analysis: |
| NLP has a concept called
"sub-modality". Sub-modalities are defined as the
distinctions we make within each representational system,
the qualities of our internal representations (little/big ,
sound/silence , colours, rhythms etc.). |
|
| Some sub-modalities are called
"critical": changing this kind of sub-modality we
change the quality of internal representations. |
|
| A technique called
"Swish" SWISH works on different critical
sub-modalities in order to create change. |
|
| The swish pattern uses rapid-fire
sub-modality shifts to associate two mental constructions so
that one automatically leads to the other. |
|
| The "swish pattern" is
one of the simplest of sub-modality work. The idea is to
rapidly swap the sub-modalities of two representations
(images, sounds, or feelings) so that the first becomes a
stimulus for the second. |
|
| Eastern Medicine also has
something similar. Because each elements has a positive and
a negative side it is very interesting to extract the so
called "sub-modalities" of each one: we can in
this way create a positive path of transformation from
negative to positive. |
|
| Changing the sub-modalities of
each element from sub-modalities associated with negative
ideas to sub-modalities associated with positive ideas is
very strong. |
|
| For example, the earth has two
polarities: cruelty and love; the first is normally closed,
while the second is open. |
|
| Using the concepts of swish in
this context can bring to the following trance-cultural
technique. |
|
|
|
| ELEMENTARY
SWISH - A TECHNIQUE |
| "Swish" is a term
belonging to NLP symbolising fast change |
| 1 - for each element go to the
respective emotion |
| 2 - change the sub-modalities
along with emotions |
| Repeated many times, this
exercise will bring a positive transformation to the whole
personality. |
|
| In this way we have created a new
technique not existing until now. This technique has proved
itself to be extremely powerful. |
|
| This exercise, repeated many
times will help in eliminating negative feelings and in
building a better personality. |
|
| While the original Swish pattern
has the main aim of changing habits, this new pattern goes
even deeper, and makes it impossible even to form negative
emotional habits. |
|
|
|
| A NEW SYNERGY
BETWEEN WESTERN AND EASTERN ELEMENTS |
|
| WESTERN ELEMENTS |
| Also in west there exists
elements. |
| Western elements are Fire - Water
- Air - Earth |
| These elements can be referred to
body parts: |
| Head - Fire - Volition |
| Lungs - Air - Arguing |
| Abdomen - Water - Interiority |
| Feet - Earth - Operating |
| Franz Bardon describes very well
the work with elements, that is a basis for using their
power. |
|
| Each element corresponds to a
psychological type and many other things. The elements are
archetypes and symbols of our mind. |
|
| We can use sound power to
transmit the signification of the elements. Traditionally
the western elements can be made corresponding each to a
letter: |
| Head - SH - Red - expanding warm |
| Lungs - A - azur - light |
| Abdomen - M - Blue - cold
contracting |
| Feet - Ae - Brown - heavy |
|
| We can use sound for correcting
some unbalance in the body. We ask a person how he defines
his pain (cold, warm, Light, heavy). After the person gives
us an idea we can operate. |
|
| For example, a person with a
feeling he defines as "cold" could at a certain
point be treated with SH (Warm). |
|
| In our experience this kind of
work eliminates all kinds of pain very fast. |
|
| Trance-cultural work can also
include other philosophies; for example what is called
"magic" in western cultures. |
|
| In magic, it is habitual to draw
protection circles. Using a TC (trance-Cultural) approach we
can find similar ideas in western philosophies. |
|
| The following exercise integrates
all these ideas |
|
| PSYCHO-MAGICAL exercise utilizing
western elements |
| Close your eyes |
| Imagine drawing a circle around
you. |
| Think about something that
bothers you. |
| Give this problem a shape |
| Imagine a beam of light arriving
from above, giving you energy |
| Push the problem with its shape a
little further from you |
| Draw a circle around you, leaving
the problem with its shape outside you |
| Decide what kind of energy you
need to destroy such a problem |
| Imagine that a light descends
from above, passes through you and through your hand going
directly onto the problem with its shape and destroying it. |
|
| You can repeat this exercise if
you want. |
| With time you will find many
problems will vanish |
|
| WESTERN
ELEMENTS AND INTERNAL ALCHEMY |
| Because each element corresponds
to a side of our mental reality, we can bring them together. |
|
| This is what is called
"Alchemical Transformation and Transmutation". For
bringing them together we can use imagination. |
|
| This kind of exercise requires
knowledge. The result is the creating of a more balanced
personality. This process can be conducted along a path with
three steps; with each step we move nearer to a more
balanced personality. The whole process can be represented
with ten points. 4 (the elements) in the first row, 3 in the
second, 2 in the third and in the last, they come together. |
|
| Our Trance-Cultural path has also
investigated these alchemical paths, often hidden by secret
societies. The process is parallel to what in China is
called the "five elements fusion". |
|
| CHINESE
ELEMENTS AND INTERNAL ALCHEMY |
| Also Chinese elements can be
brought together for creating more balance. Chinese elements
can be visualized near the corresponding organs and after
brought together at the navel. |
| 1 - Open your earth and bring
near it, its energy and emotional quality |
| 2 - Bring the energy and
emotional quality of the kidney near them |
| 3 - Bring the earth and kidney's
energy together |
| 4 - Bring the energy and
emotional quality of the spleen near it (right side under
ribcage) |
| 5 - Bring the energy and
emotional quality of the lungs near them (left side under
ribcage) |
| 6 - Bring together the energy of
the spleen and of the lungs |
| 7 - Bring together also the
centering energy of the liver |
| All the energies go together
creating a PEARL. |
| The process we have outlined here
is very parallel to what happens in western traditional
alchemy. |
|
| THE SINESTHESIC PATTERN MOLECULE
AND THE ELEMENTS FUSION: another example of a
TRANCE-CULTURAL NEW TECHNIQUE We can also find a similitude
between fusion and what in traditional NLP is called the
SINESTHESIC PATTERN MOLECULE. |
|
| This pattern is used in NLP for a
problem attitude or belief. This Attitude is considered as a
negative molecule that is divided in its main components
(corresponding to the sensory channels). After the
components are brought back together. |
|
| With this kind of work There is a
strong similarity with the concept of the pearl and of the
elements. For discovering this similitude we used a
principle of Trance Cultural search: practice. We discovered
in our body the similarity between the two techniques! |
|
|
| DESCRIPTION OF
THE CLASSICAL NLP PATTERN |
| We will describe it here in the
simplest possible way: |
| - Put the negative emotions on
your right side down and transform them into positive
(motivation) |
| - Put the negative thoughts on
your left side down and transform them into positive |
| - Put negative voices on your
left |
| - Put old images on upper left
and transform them in: |
| - what you want (image) on upper
right |
| - Put sounds on the right |
| - Bring them all together in the
same way as when you are fine. |
| We have purposely simplified the
technique in order to show the similarity with the Fusion of
the Five Elements. Both techniques touch different aspects
but can be usefully combined. We have examined many ways of
combining them. |
|
|
| METAPROGRAMS
AND CHINESE ELEMENTS |
| Meta-Programs are a separated
nucleus in NLP techniques. We think that meta-programs could
be helpful seen from a five-elements and body part
perspective. In this way we use again the Trance-Cultural
perspective. |
|
| The usefulness of this
perspective is the possibility of finding which kind of
psychosomatic problem each person presenting a particular
metaprogram could suffer. We have created a little table. |
|
| Body Parts |
| Relationship Filter: |
| Abdomen: Match |
| Head: Mismatching |
|
| People using AV sensorial channel
are the most Mismatching |
|
| Other Metaprograms linked with |
| Wood/Fire = Toward (goes towards
new directions) |
| Metal/Water = Away from |
|
| Fire = Chunk/Up |
| Metal = Analytical Chunk Down

decision very fast) |
